Waseem was appointed Managing Director of Ensis Fisheries on 25 April 2016, and is a co-founder of Ensis Group of companies. He is a veteran of the Maldives Tourism industry, and one of the most experienced corporate leaders in the Maldives.

Under his guidance Ensis Fisheries became the leading fish exporter and processer in the Maldives that it is known for today. Waseem has served on many high-level committees of the Government and contributed to the policy making at a national level.
